Sound AB Sorb™ Ceiling Banners incorporate the latest technologies to achieve acoustical integrity in what are traditionally acoustically inaccessible areas. For noise reduction in community centers, gymnasiums, health spas, theatres, bowling alleys, restaurants or factories for greater quiet and dignity in hospital or hotel lobbies, Sound AB Sorb™ Ceiling Banners are perfect. Of course, they can be used as effectively in a range of other applications as well, including large meeting areas in schools or offices and in laboratory facilities.

They can be used to create the effect of a lower ceiling, thus producing a warmer, more pleasant working atmosphere. Colors and textures can be chosen that will complement an overall design theme, for the subtle effect of unity.

Not only is the Banner system easy on the eye and the ear, but installation has been designed for maximum ease as well. The lightweight banners come with all that is necessary for a quick installation, and can be moved as requirements change.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Construction: All banners consists of a 2" fiber glass core. All covering materials feature expertly tailored seams along the vertical and top edges. Seams are centered on edges. Each Ceiling Banner weighs ± 1/2 lb. per square foot.

*Sa=Sabin is equivalent absorption of one square foot surface having an NRC of 1.00. Note Banners have two absorbing surfaces per square foot. **lbs per cubic foot density. All testing has been performed by recognized acoustical laboratories per ASTM-C-423-77. Substrate components and standard fabric coverings meet Class A rating per ASTME-84.

Special Sizes: Custom cut to fit any number of applications where noise reduction is required.

Coverings: The full depth of Sound AB Sorb's™ unique collection of coverings is available for Ceiling Banners. This includes our wide selection of wallcoverings, upholstery fabrics and vinyls.

Installation: Ceiling Banners are suspended by means of galvanized chains. These fasten to the ceiling by aluminum grid clips, and are attached to brass grommets on the Banners that penetrate the covering at the top edge. Of course, the Banners are designed to move as design requirements change. Installation is always easy and fast.
